The Fleet Operator Recognition Scheme (FORS) is an accreditation scheme that aims to improve fleet activity throughout the UK and beyond.
Who needs it? FORS is voluntary and open to any company operating a fleet including all methods of road transport i.e. bikes, cars, vans, lorries, mini-buses or coaches.
"The FORS process of accreditation and continuous improvements makes sound business sense, and gives customers peace of mind that the organisation they contract with take safety and compliance seriously. The added benefit of accident reduction and public recognition of high standards means the potential to stand out from others when competing for new business."
Theo de Pencier, Chief Executive of the Freight Transport Association (FTA)

We can help you prepare for your audit or if you’ve already prepared but need a second opinion or simply need some assurance, we can provide it.
Plumwood can supply an experienced FORS practitioner who will offer guidance to help you understand which areas need improving or need to be addressed as a priority. Our work will involve time spent at your premises in order to review vehicle maintenance, driver records, company documentation, policies, procedures, risk assessments and working practices.
The practitioner will also provide you with information about how to sustain your FORS accreditation and how to evolve your policies in order to keep pace with FORS regulations. This is particularly useful if you're planning to move your company on to Silver or Gold accreditation at some point soon, or just simply wish to retain your Bronze accreditation year on year.
FORS is continuously evolving and annual audits must be undertaken to maintain your accreditation.
To ensure that you are working to the latest standard, fully compliant and to prepare you for your renewal audit, Plumwood can review and update your FORS compliance documents, policies and procedures.
Do you want to move your company on to the next level?
We can help you prepare for your Silver or Gold submission.
